A seasoned expert with 30 years of experience in technology and project management, Kim Byeong Kon holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Yonsei University and a master’s degree from KAIST. Before joining Space LiinTech, he spent three decades at Samsung SDS, leading numerous projects and gaining extensive expertise.

Hailing from Jeju Island, Kim has a wide range of interests and exceptional hands-on skills. Whether it’s designing office spaces, setting up research labs, or building custom equipment, he enjoys creating things from scratch. At Space LiinTech, he is not only the go-to problem solver but also the most dependable backbone of the team, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. The wealth of experience he gained at Samsung SDS is now proving invaluable in his role at SLT.

Shim Jung-uk Director & CTO

Dr. Jung-uk Shim is a professor at the University of Leeds, UK, specializing in biomicrofluidics and lab-on-a-chip technology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Yonsei University, a master’s degree in physics from Seoul National University, and a Ph.D. in physics from Brandeis University, USA.

His career has taken him through Harvard University and the University of Cambridge, where he conducted groundbreaking research with the support of prestigious fellowships, including the Marie Curie Fellowship and the Isaac Newton Fellowship. Eventually, his contributions led to his appointment as a professor at the University of Leeds. He is also recognized as a leading scientist by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.

Despite his sharp, analytical mind, often seen through his glasses, Dr. Shim is known for his calm and composed voice—a rare blend of scientific precision and an effortless sense of charm. As CTO of Space LiinTech, he oversees the company’s scientific and technological advancements, always bringing a touch of British sophistication to the team.

Kim Byeong Ho Director 
Head of Space Medicine Business Division

A veteran in new drug research, Dr. Byeong Ho Kim has dedicated over 23 years to pharmaceutical innovation. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in bioengineering from Korea University, followed by a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Sungkyunkwan University.

During his career at JW Pharmaceutical’s C&C New Drug Research Center, he led numerous research projects and served as the head of the new drug research center. His expertise spans anticancer drugs, anti-inflammatory treatments, immuno-oncology therapies, and cell therapy. He has also gained global pharmaceutical experience through his assignment at Chugai Pharmaceutical in Japan, fostering international collaborations. Additionally, as a principal investigator for the Korea Drug Development Fund (KDDF), he successfully led three national research projects.

Now at Space LiinTech, Dr. Kim applies his diverse and successful experience to leading essential drug development research in space environments, including protein crystallization. He works closely with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, ensuring that space medicine research continues to break new ground.

With his expert leadership and smooth communication skills, he’s not only a driving force in space medicine research but also known as SLT’s “Sweet Guy”—a leader who brings both precision and warmth to every project.

Jeong Hunjae Director
Head of Business Support, HR Team Lead, and Finance & Accounting Team Lead 

With a degree in economics from Yonsei University, Jeong Hunjae is a seasoned finance and accounting expert with extensive experience in financial management, corporate accounting, and business operations. His expertise spans both corporate and startup environments, making him a key player in driving SLT’s growth and success.

Originally from Daejeon, Jeong’s journey has now brought him full circle back to his hometown with Space LiinTech. Known for his calm demeanor and sharp financial acumen, he’s also earned the title of SLT’s “Sweet Guy in Glasses.” And if that wasn’t enough, he’s got a hidden talent—he’s a great singer, too!

Lee Younghoon Principal Researcher 
Director of Space Medicine Research Institute, Team Lead of Gene Transfection

Dr. Younghoon Lee holds a master’s and Ph.D. in molecular cell biology from Kyungpook National University and has dedicated his career to developing peptide-based new drugs at a leading pharmaceutical company.

With his calm and detail-oriented personality, he is known as one of the most diligent members of Space LiinTech—a steady presence among the diverse characters that make up the team. His white lab coat suits him perfectly, and there’s no mistaking that he was born to be a researcher. However, don’t be fooled by his serious demeanor—he genuinely enjoys spending time with people and connecting with others.
